Intonation in music is a musician's realization of pitch accuracy, or the pitch accuracy of a musical instrument. Intonation may be flat, sharp, or both, successively or simultaneously.
Rhythm is the “beat” of music; the regular pattern of long and short notes.
Confidence
The feeling or belief that one can have faith in or rely on someone or something.
Breath Control
Singing songs requires getting a full breath quickly — a quick inhalation — because the orchestra can't wait five minutes for you to find the air. So knowing how your body feels when you inhale helps you to get air in your body quickly to sing the next phrase.
Singing
Making musical sounds with the voice, especially words with a set tune.
Stage Presence
The ability to command the attention of a theatre audience by the impressiveness of one's manner or appearance.
Vocal Range
The range of notes a singing voice can encompass.
Vibrato
The pulsating or vibrating element of some sounds that is produced by a full, resonant quality of tone.
Expression Marks
Beyond pitches and rhythm, other aspects of performance such as dynamics, articulation, and tempo fall into this category. Although nothing is being expressed, some connection with emotion is assumed.
Sight-singing/Sight-reading
The practise of singing a composition at sight without previous preparation.
